Buccal (Cheek) Fat Excision
Buccal (cheek) fat excision is intended
for very full cheeks that make the face appear overweight. Very
often, full cheeks hide the subtle contour of the cheek bone
and jaw line. When buccal fat is removed using a small mouth
incision, it enhances the appearance of the cheekbone and jaw
line area.
After Your Buccal Fat Removal
Procedure
There is minimal discomfort after the
procedure. It is important to be on a soft diet and keep the
mouth. Swelling will be minimized by keeping the head elevated
and using cold compresses. The sutures dissolve in approximately
three weeks.
