Cosmetic surgery can be expensive—no one understands that better than we do here at the San Francisco Plastic Surgery & Laser Center. Even relatively inexpensive procedures like Botox, Dysport, Juvederm, and Restylane injections can become a drain on your resources over time . . . especially since they have to be undergone at regular intervals. With this in mind, now through Halloween of this year Dr. Chiu-Collins and I are offering new patients 20 percent off on Botox, Dysport, Juvederm, and Restylane treatments. All four of these products have the potential to make you look younger and more rested—though they work in different ways. Here’s a basic explanation of how Botox and Dysport work vs. how Juvederm and Restylane work:
Botox & Dysport
These two products are slightly different at a chemical level, but they function in essentially the same way: they temporarily block the signals sent from the nerves in your face to the muscles in your face. This may not sound like a good thing, but when it comes to getting rid of lines and wrinkles, it is—since your muscles can’t tense up, they relax and smooth out, making those furrows on your forehead or around your mouth soften. If you have deep lines in your face, these two products can help.
Juvederm & Restylane
Whereas Botox and Dysport are toxins that more or less freeze your muscles in place, Juvederm and Restylane are products that fill depleted facial features. Dermal fillers plump and lift the skin in places where it has lost collagen, gently restoring those areas for a more youthful result.
Which to Choose?
Only a doctor can tell you whether your features will be better served by Botox, Dysport, Juvederm, or Restylane—but since we’re offering 20 percent off on all four to all of our new clients for most of the year here at the SF Plastic Surgery & Laser Center, cost is one thing you won’t have to worry so much about.
