Lip Augmentation in San Francisco

Lips on the Rise

Just what’s fueled a universal lip movement in America?

It’s no secret. The perception of beauty has changed over the last few years. The rise of social media has brought attention to bodies and faces like never before. With exposure to celebrities and selfie culture, lips have become the facial feature of today.

In 2015, more than 27,000 lip enhancement procedures were carried out: nearly one every 20 minutes. From 2014 to 2015, there was a 5% increase in popularity, a huge 50% increase from 2000. Lip enhancement techniques have never been more popular.

Advances in technology have ushered in an era of facial procedures with low complications and costs. With the signature plump of stars like Angelina Jolie and Kylie Jenner reaffirming our beauty standards, voluminous lips are more than just in vogue. It’s a feature that here’s to stay.

More Than a Trend

Lip enhancement is not only about a designer appearance. Under a skilled hand, the current generation of procedures creates organic and healthy looking results.

Lip enhancement can benefit:

  1. Those who have lost lip shape and seek a youthful, refreshed appearance

  2. Those who have thin lips and seek a more voluminous pout

  3. Those who have standard lips and seek a fuller, more signature look

As we grow older our lips naturally become thinner and longer. This loss of fullness can create lip lines that exaggerate age and tiredness.

Most people seek a plumper look as a way of looking younger and more vivacious.  Lip enhancement can balance facial proportions by adding thickness to a smaller set of lips.

It’s common today for both men and women to undergo lip augmentation for a variety of reasons. Whether to address age or to gain general fullness, there is no group that benefits from enhancement less than another.

A Surgeon’s Eye

Cosmetic surgery is an art form,

With your doctor the artist.

The work of a doctor is the difference between a dream look and a medical nightmare. No miracle drug replaces the delicate hand and skilled eye of a professional. When it comes to cosmetic success, the contents of a shot are second to the aesthetic mastery of your doctor.

The natural, balanced look you seek with lip enhancement is only possible with a skilled injector. A good doctor will set realistic expectations and deliver the right treatment for you. From a natural plump to keyhole pouts and “Russian Lips” – our team can do it all, but you need to be the right candidate to achieve your goals. During your consultation, we recommend that you show us some photos of your “wish lips” and photos of how you don’t want your lips to look like. After reviewing the photos, we will determine what lip shape works best with your overall facial features.

Dr. Usha Rajagopal is a master of injectables. She’s an educator in Botox injections in the Bay Area, who uses her knowledge to train injectors in every field. With over 20 years of experience in cosmetic and female surgery, she is sought after worldwide for her abilities.
