Infini "Dry" for Hyperhidrosis (Underarm sweating treatment)

Is your wardrobe limited by your excessive underarm sweating? You’re not alone.

Hyperhidrosis is a condition that causes excessive sweating in the underarm and other axillary areas. Three percent of Americans are affected by hyperhidrosis, which is over 10 million people. This condition can affect someone in many ways, altering everything from lifestyle choices, to their wardrobe and confidence.

An Innovative Procedure

While excess sweating can be managed with topical medication, prescriptions are temporary. Long term solutions like surgery are available, but are less common. Botox injections are another temporary treatment that requires repeat visits every 6 to 9 months.

Among the treatments for this condition, the newest is the Infini "Dry" treatment. Infini is a non-surgical, fractional radiofrequency (RF) technology which uses insulated microneedles to deliver bursts of energy in targeted areas under the skin. The Infini "Dry" procedure targets troublesome areas to permanently destroy sweat glands with no downtime.

Dr. Usha Rajagopal and the San Francisco Plastic Surgery and Laser Center is proud to offer this cutting-edge treatment.

Hyperhidrosis Infini Treatment

A topical numbing cream is applied to the underarm area 20-30 minutes before treatment. The affected area will be treated with Infini in several passes. The RF energy will cause coagulation under the dermis and destroy sweat glands. The procedure itself takes 15-20 minutes for both underarms.

After treatment no medications are required for pain and there is no downtime. In one week results will become noticeable. 1-2 repeat procedures can be completed a month later to treat any remaining sweat glands. With one application, up to 75% of the condition can see improvement.

No Sweat Results

Results of the treatment may appear around 7 days. Due to the gland destroying effects of RF, results from Infini "Dry" are permanent. Sweat glands affected by the treatment do not regenerate or grow back.

Infini "Dry"’s other distinct advantage over other procedures is that it does not cause hair loss, which is a common issue for men seeking sweat relief. Infini "Dry" causes no pain during treatment and has no recovery time or post-treatment care.

Many patients find themselves satisfied with one treatment. Up to 3 additional treatments can be added as recommended by your certified Infini provider such as Dr. Usha Rajagopal at the San Francisco Plastic Surgery and Laser Center.
